“Soie” at Le Funambule: A Journey Through Love and Mystery
From November 17, 2026, to January 27, 2027, Le Funambule Montmartre Theatre, located at 53 Rue des Saules, presents Soie, an adaptation of Alessandro Baricco's acclaimed novel.
The story takes us back to the 19th century, following Hervé Joncour, a French merchant who travels to Japan several times to purchase silkworm eggs. His encounter with a mysterious woman changes his life forever.
Directed by William Mesguich and performed by Sylvie Dorliat, this captivating one-person show explores desire, silence and impossible love through a poetic narrative.
Performances take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, at 7 p.m. or 9 p.m., depending on the date. Advance booking is recommended to enjoy this memorable cultural experience.
