Halloween in Paris with the Family: Our Ideas for Activities Around Hôtel Barnett

Categories : Hotel, The neighborhood, published on : 10/10/26

Pumpkins, witches and haunted houses are taking over Paris! During the 2026 All Saints’ school holidays, the capital is offering a wide range of activities to celebrate Halloween with children. Located in the 18th arrondissement, Hôtel Barnett is an ideal base for enjoying these events while discovering Montmartre in autumn.

A Big Halloween Day in the 18th Arrondissement

On October 31, 2026, the Maurice Genevoix Library is hosting its Big Halloween Day, from 10:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Younger children can take part in a little wizards’ treasure hunt, listen to spooky — but not too scary — stories or enjoy creative workshops. Older children can look forward to Ciné’lloween, the Même pas peur ! show and even a haunted-house escape game. The day will end with a suitably spooky afternoon snack.

The festivities even begin before October 31: on October 29, children aged 6 and over can create their own monsters during the Chamboule-tout des monstres workshop, also held at the Maurice Genevoix Library.

Extend the Halloween Fun Across Paris

From Hôtel Barnett, make the most of the school holidays by discovering the many Halloween events taking place throughout the capital. Parks, workshops, immersive experiences and family activities bring this period to life, with a particularly rich programme around October 31.

Between spooky adventures, autumn is also the perfect season to rediscover Montmartre as a family. The Sacré-Cœur, Place du Tertre and the charming streets of the hill provide the perfect setting for a walk beneath the colours of October.

Your Retreat After a Day of Adventures

After a day filled with witches, ghosts and monsters, return to the elegant and welcoming atmosphere of Hôtel Barnett. Its location in the 18th arrondissement makes it easy to combine Halloween activities with a Montmartre getaway.

An ideal address for turning the All Saints’ holidays into a Parisian break that is just as fun for children as it is enjoyable for parents.
